Can someone verify these axles pop out?

Can some verify that these are pop out axles? I have been trying to pry/pop/tap them out for a while now and they don't even budge. This is my first time taking axles off so maybe I just need to hit it harder. The vehicle is a 91 all-trac with an auto made in Japan. An odd thing about the car is it had 6 bolts on the flywheel instead of eight so maybe it has odd axles or something.

Sweet jebus why is there so much crud on everything? I would seriously consider cleaning that up before you work on it. I've never worked on an All-Trac but I would assume you have to do the same as the 2WD and pull the axles out of the hub and it will just pull out of the transaxle.

those axles will pop out. there's just a circlip inside on the shaft to prevent it falling out. what you need to do is give them a quick hard pry or pull and they'll come out. If pulling be aware that the cv boot may come off.

i prefer to pry them out. same deal when you put them back in, quick hard push and they'll pop in. if you do it slowly it'll cause you grief.

I'd recommend you cleaning that area first!

Well I got them out. I had to get a 24" crowbar and on the drivers side I found it easier to take the plastic shield off and pry from the top down through the engine compartment.
