90 Camry 3SFE Exhaust manifold

Is there an exhaust diagram for this car somewhere? I have an exhaust leak that is coming from behind the heat shield(s). Does the manifold have a CAT/Conv between it and the flex pipe that can be removed or is it all one piece?

Search for toyota discount parts shows the front manifold for $155 which I would get before a junk yard part for $60 but just need to make sure I'm getting the same thing.

Also, I've searched here and want to know what's the advantage of getting the junk yard manifold from a celica w/3SGE motor?

Thanks

Rob

First you are going to want to pull off those heat shields and see where the leak is actually coming from. It might be at the head/manifold junction (new gasket would fix that), or cracked manifold, cat or other part.

The front exhaust does have a few junctions that will allow you to fix just the broken part.

Charlie,

Obvious aside, I wanted to know more on the actual pieces involved behind the heat shield from someone that has done one before. Knowing this would allow me to do more research on parts that may be needed, and the cost WITHOUT removing the heat shield because I know I will be snapping all the heads. Granted I will anyway when it's time to do the actual job and to really see where the leak is, but parts are scarce around here and I like to be prepared for the worse.

No opinion on the 89 Celica manifold swap?

go to toyodiy and look up your car. diagram there.

ceilca manifold nfi. don't think there are gains to warrant the effort.
