2nd Generation Door frame rust

I have a bubble of rust inside the door as shown in this pic.

I was wondering if this is a common problem on 2nd gen wagons and if there is something I should do to it besides sanding/grinding the rust and painting?

It is in an odd place is the only reason I ask.

Not sure if its common. However, make sure there is no debris inside the door itself. There should be drain holes in the door. Make sure they are clear. if there are none, you may want to consider drilling some small ones.

It isn't in the door, just between the two doors in the door fram/pillar. Sorry I didn't make that clear.

Yes it is common. Toyota used som thin metal on this generation of Camry, so it is not surprising to see many that have rust. Try to get it fixed soon, though, because once rust sets in on the Camry, it can spread quickly.
