Unfamiliar Sensor

Hi all;

Changed my control arm bushings yesterday and while I was under the car, I looked up on the intake mani. I noticed there was a part of the harness branching off (to 2 wires i think) and at the end of the wires was a plug connecting to, what looked like a sensor of some sort on the back of the head right under the IM. It's square in shape, and had the plug plugged in to one side and a small vacuum looking hose beside it that wasn't attached to anything, but i could see a port on a very small metalic line nearby that led to the power steering pump, but the hose was too short to reach it. Went on to toyodiy.com to see if I could find out what it was but to no avail. Not sure if any of you guys have ever seen this on your USDM Gen 2's ?? I was hoping someone could enlighten me as to what that thing is.

JDM 1990 Gen2.

Thanks

Stanno.

Pictures would help. I'm not aware of anything like that on the US version of the car.

Sorry Charlie. While I was under there I couldn't get to the phone to snap a shot. Plus the suspension cross member was off, so I had a clear view of the area then. I'll see what I can do tho.
