Just need to know if the v6 set up can be swapped over with no mods necessary. Thanks

The V6 and 4-cylinder suspensions have all the same mounting points and will bolt on just fine. Be aware that the V6 suspension has stiffer springs (and possibly struts?) to handle the higher weight of the larger motor.

Also do the tie rod ends have to be removed to take off the strut from the steering knuckle? I saw in the Haynes manual they remove the tie rod end. Are people really doing this? Thanks

You shouldn't need to. Just cut the tab for the brake lines and pull the brake line, remove the lower two large bolts and the upper three nuts and you should be good to go.

Remember that the 4-cylinder will ride probably .5" to 1" higher with the V6 springs on there... and get an alignment when you are done.
