Hey All, i've got a Gen2 Camry and i just got a 1.5 Inch drop... even though i've been told that as the springs settle it'll get a bit lower... i've noticed that there is still quite a considerable gap between the tyre and wheel arch bout 2 inches or so...
Some people cant even notice that ive got it lowered.
Dus ne one else have this problem? Do standard gen2s have a large space between the tyres and the wheel arch...
(BTW even though the looks arent that noticeable, the road holding and body roll is much better)
When i get a digital camera i'll post pics.
ThanX ya'll

That's the way Intrax springs are on the Gen. 2's. It's not gonna settle as much as everyone says it will. For the 4 cyl., it's gonna look almost stock to other people. You yourself will notice the drop cuz you see the car everyday. As for the V6, the drop is considerable in the front. Looks great but you sacrifice the soft ride a normal sedan would have.
yeah... my car is still pretty comfotable to drive in but the body roll is so much better.
Do ne of u know that if i get Koni Adjustable Shocks... will i be able to get my car lower than it already is.

Hmm.. I have a Gen2 as well... my next major 'for looks' mod is to drop it a bit (intrax springs/tokico struts). I did notice that even if the car was dropped an inch and a half or so, there'd still be quite a bit of wheel gap. My plan is to get new summer rims (probably 17's or 18's) with new tires, and keep my cheesy $150 set of 15's for winter driving.
Hopefully I'll have very little wheel gap after that...
i too have a Gen2....but it's all stock for now.....aiya...anyways the following pic R 88LE's car....take a look @ his wheel...i think they're sharp...but i have no idea how many inch he lowered his Gen2....

Its lowered 1.5" (Intrax springs) with a coil chopped off the back springs, Tokico struts (for non-sealed / serviceable struts), 16x7 Rota / Konig Cobra's, and Nitto NT-505's (205/45-16).
