I sure don't know, but I noticed you have a 72 Maverick and I'm jealous! I love those cars! I had a 70 that was built by a Funny Car driver for his daughter that I got a great deal on. Had a 289, C-4, with 8-inch posi and dual exhaust out the back. Had a sweet silver paint job. 70-72 was my favorite Maverick years. What caught my eye was that the 70 never came with a V-8. The conversion was awesome! The only thing weird was it had 4 lug in front and 5 lug in back!

Sorry, that didn't answer your question. Just seeing 72 Maverick in your post got me going!

Thanks hairball its cool , that sounds sweet , i never got to drive a v8 maverick but from what have people have told me , they are pretty fast . I wish i dropped a 302 in my 72 , but i chose to keep the orginal motor in it , plus when i drive this mav is quiet , saves gas , an it has good ride , but it cant beat a toyota lol , If the mav had the fuel injection ,power steering an working a/c it would be my perfect driver But The mav was my 1st car , im almost done restoreing it . It just needs a paint job , a transmission rebuild, and the air conditioning needs to be redone..

That 70 I had sure turned heads with the 5 lug rear (gave other drivers a hint it wasn't stock) and the dual exhaust. I didn't own a camera at the time or I would have taken a ton of pictures of it. Any Maverick owners and fanatics who were experts and knew 70's never came with a V-8 were shocked when I punched it from a light and did posi drifts across the intersection. The guy put 3.50 gears and traction loc in it. I had a 289 in it when I got it, but it needed a cam bearing and I had a fresh 302 in my garage that I put into it. It was very impressive.

I'm ALWAYS looking for 70-72 Mavs on Craigslist. (Sorry folks.)
