2nd Generation !991 Camry Reverse & Tail Light Problem

I own a 1991 Camry 4Cyl Std. When I turn my headlights on, my running lights come on in the trunk, also. Meaning both filaments in the 1157 bulb illuminate. This car does not have a yellow box in the trunk. I checked all fuses & also checked for a broken wire in the wire lume in the trunk area. Any suggestions? This is driving me crazy!

So your backup lights are controlled by the neutral safety switch located o9n the transmission under the battery.

As for your tail lights I'm confused. You saying when your head lights are on your tail lights are on correct?

My Camry is a 5 spd std. I don't see the neutral safety switch anywhere on the tranny. I think it may be under the shifter, but not sure.

When I turn my headlights on, my tail lights in the trunk area also come on. Both filaments on the 1157 bulbs illuminate. I also don't see any tail light relay box (yellow) on my model Camry.
