inner tie rods with just loctite and no washer?

I just replaced both my inner tie rods on my 90 camry. Due to the position I was in, I was unable to restake the inner tie rods with the washer (pushing the tabs down) So I just used Loctite 271 (red permanent one) is that good enough or will I still risk a possibility of the inner tie rod coming loose?

Question

I'm a bit confused as to exactly what parts you're talking about since there aren't inner tie rods on a Camry. Are you talking about the rods that they outer tie rod ends screw onto? I just can't picture what you're talking about, even by looking at my Haynes or Chiltons. Can you point it out in the picture below? If it's not in this picture, maybe you're talking about an axle part.

Or is the part you're talking about somewhere in this picture?

Hmmm. Not sure what the heck that is. It even shows it on Auto Zone's site. But this is the only tie rod end I've seen on my 90 Camry. In fact I just replaced them both.

Maybe someone else will read my post and help me understand what the heck that part is. Does it have the above part at the outer end? And maybe screw into the steering unit? But you're right, even Auto Zone calls it an Inner Tie Rod End. Guess I need to check my repair manuals a little closer.

It's not in the haynes repair manual (I have one), it's the rod that you screw the outer tie rod end on. It connects to the rack, I'm just hoping someone would tell me if it was okay that I only used red loctite since I couldn't stake the washer

oh. That explains it all. I have a manual on my computer, and they call those the "rack ends".

Probably ok but it is a suspension part after all, but without seeing it my opinion is if it comes loose consequences can range from either nothing to death. They put the staked washer there for a reason but if you cant do it then you cant.
To play it safe I'd clean off the part and put a dab of JB Weld to make a bump (no reason to even unscrew it) to keep the nut from turning.
