Wiper arm linkage

My car just got stolen and it came back with one wiper not working. Turns out, the teeth where the wiper arm connects to the base has been worn out due to a loose nut. How hard is it to fix this? It looks like I have to open the dash? If it takes that much work, I'll just donate the car or junk it

A temporary fix would be just to superglue the linkage to the teeth.

I've done this and it has worked perfectly for 2 years+
