Dashboard Lights Will not turn off
I have an '88 3sfe engine that i just finished replacing the timing belt on.
after replacing the belt I cannot get the dashboard warning lights to turn off, everything is tripped, cel, oil, battery.
The Front Lights and Rear lights still work as well as all blinkers. The Interior warning lights such as door and seat belt function normally.
I have checked the fuses as well as the circuit break underneath the dash.
I have located 3 grounds, one from the engine block to the frame, that I removed and replaced during the timing belt change as well as another connected to the block and the battery housing and the one from the negative to the frame. the second two were not touched and are still secure.
Is there a wire I possibly missed or do i need to reset anything within my car?
During the timing belt change I accidentally dragged the ground wire over the positive of the Alternator, I blew a protective 80AMP fuse, and replaced it.
The cars timing is 100% perfect, with everything matching up, and this definitely points towards a electrical issue.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
