I'm assuming you have an automatic? Depending upon how long you allow the transmission to drain for it takes 4-5 quarts of ATF typically any type III or its equivalent will work doesnt have to be toyota.

yes, automatic transmission 2vzfe engine.
I have used dexron 2 to change transmission fluid.
I think I was confused.
Transaxle oil and front differential fluid.
Where are they ?

The manual lists two differentials for FWD cars, the SV21 and the VSV21. Both use Dextron II (although I think Dextron III replaced that years ago). It says the SV21 holds 1.7 qts and the VSV21 holds 1.1 qts. If you have an 4WD/All-Trac it's a different ballgame.

When I changed the fluid on my 3SFE equipped '91 Camry, I got one of those hose/valve deals that screws into the top of a 1 qt bottle and bought a length of clear tubing and an angle fitting and filled it from the top side.

I think blu-91 was thinking you were talking about the transmission rather than the diff. (Toyota calls the transmission in these cars the transaxle)
