Omg, Help, My Door!!!

Hi everyone, so this afternoon I opened my back door on my drivers side to put my school bag and it opened, I got to school now and the door wouldnt open. Stupid me thought it had to do with the child lock. I opened the door from the inside lever, it opened. but then not until after I put on the child lock that I forgot child lock doesnt let me open the door from inside. So I accidently put on the Child Lock and now the door won't open at all. What could be the problem and how can I fix it?

OK, no sweat. My new Camry had the exact same issue. The good news is, you can turn off the child lock while the door is closed. You'll have to push the rear seat back as far as you can, and insert a small screwdriver to flip the switch. The outside door handle not working is 99% caused by the breakage of the little yellow plastic clip that holds the rod in place to the door handle. This one is a little more of a pain. First, you have to find the right clip. I went to EVERY parts store in town and only NAPA offered to order it for $13. The other stores sold variety packs but none of them fit. I ended up getting a new clip from the junkyard. The door panel has to come off, with the window all the way up, and you need long, dexterous fingers to put the new clip in. Good luck!

Or, if you have electric door locks the actuator in the door may have failed. I got mine out and sprayed it with WD40 and it worked again...for a few months.

I had a similar problem on my right rear door and bought 2 boxes of clips off ebay to replace all those plastic clips but only needed a clouple of them.
