Gen1 89' Camry Car Stereo Problem!

Hello, I just installed a Pioneer 2266UB In-Dash car stereo in my 89' Camry. I'm positive I wired everything correctly, however the speakers turn off once I put my headlights on. The car stereo stays on but the speakers turn off when I put the headlights on. I don't know what seems to be the problem and it is really frustrating. Your help would be very appreciated. Thanks.

headlights or just corner lights ? first click or second click on the headlight switch ? sounds like you wired something wrong though

sounds to me like you have hooked the illumination wire from the car (to dim or bighten the display as per the dimmer) to the mute or interuppt on the stereo.

See if turning the dash light dimmer control up or down to confirm or deny any change w/ lights on.
