How much pag oil does this system need?

Personally, I'd take it to a licensed AC shop. Can get in big trouble for doing your own stuff without the proper recycling equipment.

If it's just the clutch on your pulley, all you would need is the new compressor... I'm not sure how much oil it takes.

What kind of tools do you have? Access to vacuum pump? Compressed air and a flush kit? If not, save yourself the agrevation and pay a reputable shop to do it. They will have all the right tools, and you should get a warranty on the work if it is all oem denso stuff.

I do not have any tool you mentioned.
I want to prepare all parts and stuff that the job will need.
It was because the clutch of compressor was bad so the AC retrofited from 12r to134a.
I bought a used compressor from ebay for the car.
The system was leaking after the car was fixed.
I had recharge it with refigarent and seal several times.
But the compressor was used for about 5 months then the clutch went bad again.
Maybe there is some mixed oil inside the system.
If the system does not be flushed.
Will it damage the new compressor ?

1. Toyota does not recommend flushing the A/C system with anything other then refrigerant (R-12 or R-134a).

2. R-12 and R-134a use different types of oil.

Proper procedure to restore the A/C is with a A/C machine (charge, recover, recycle). The system needs to be evacuated (placed under vacumm) to remove all air/moisture from the system and to check for leaks. Oil can be added at this time, if its needed.

After successful evacuation of the system, it can then be charged with refrigerant and performance tested.

After the system retrofited I think the system needs 134a.
The compressor manual said it needs ND-OIL9.
What is ND-OIL9?
We do not know how much oil the system needs?
If toyota does not recommand to flush the system.
Now the system has no refrigerant inside the system just some old oil left.
Can we leave the old oil alone ?
Using A/C machine... Is it a kind of flushing ?

1. I believe ND-9 is pag oil. With R134a, Toyota recommends ND-8 with piston (reciprocating) type compressor and ND-9 with scroll or rotory type compressor.

I've used pag oil with compressors that use ND-8 oil and it works fine.

2. Don't know how much oil the system requires.

3. The old oil will be sucked out during evacuation. Whenever an A/C system is opened up, a evacuation must be done otherwise you'll have air in the system.

4. You can use refrigerant and a A/C machine to do a flush. Charge the system, then recover it.

P.S. If the receiver drier has a replaceable dessicant pack, install it last. And if its not replaceable, install the receiver drier last.

I think I cannot do it DIY.
I will find a shop to do it.
The only thing I can do that is going to buy parts and stuff.
Thanks
