Hello, Mike! Let me move your thread over to the Camry forum and see if the folks there can lend you a hand. Also, you might want to use that forum's search tool and see if there's a past thread that covers you reverse issue as well. Hope you find a resolution....

Oops

Yep not a computer wiz, anyway looking forward to answer ,I didn't find an answer in past to these exact symptoms, maybe I'm hoping for a do it yourself miracle as mechanics and parts are scarce in my part of the big island so i try to do it all myself.

Hi:

This same topic was answered back in May of '09. I think the solution was to look for a new/used tranny.

If the diagnostic steps point out to C0 clutch failure located under side cover, the repair shop can make repair with tranny in the car.

Went to trans. shop they said it was probably fused clutches!?.Anyway they would diagnose for $90!,and fix for $1800 to $2800!-Such is car repair in Hawaii. Thats why we do our own....Anyway I guess I'll Search for a used tranny,In the meantime car still gets me where I want to go. ....in drive.

Oh, don't worry about it. Trans rebuild is no cheaper in the states. I'll let you know if I see anything, but seeing as shipping would be murder since you're in Hawaii I won't look too hard.

Good luck!
