Gen 2,Many Many new parts, occasional stumble

Hello toyota nation from goood ol michigan. This is my second post. i just wanted to see if anyone could give me a helping hand.

1991 camry dx. 4 cyl. got the car for free from my girlfriend (had been ran on 3 cylinders for a long long time, idk how but it was) car wasnt up on maintenince but ran.

I replaced. distributor cap and rotor and wires and plugs (napas premium line ) ignition coil, a couple motor mounts and trans mount. and a couple vacumm hoses.o2 sensor and i have a cold air intake and hi flow exhaust.

Car has ran pretty well. idles fine. drives excelent. someone harsh first gear engagement (swapped trans fluid with new and some lucas trans stabalizer. so im guessing that might be the harshness)

For a while its occasionally stuttered and very briefly died out and then reved high and took off upon acceleration.
I have ran alot of fuel injector cleaner multiple times. all brands.
even had them cleaned by the shop (on car)

i replaced the distributor o ring ( seen a tiny bit of oil inside distributor)
and the valve cover gasket and it got better. but still stumbles occasionally.

trying to make this short. but the other night (cold -5 to 10 degrees)
went to go to work. car started fine like usuall but idled very very irratically. surging up and down (no tach) almost stalling but stil running.
thats when i replaced the cap and plugs again, distributor o ring and valve gasket. Thought it was fixed but started "surging" for a second today when i accelerated from a stop sign.
i dont want to get stranded!

any help would be very greatly appriciated. i love my camry and dont wanna have to get rid of it. it has 167 k on it.

clean your throttle body, it is probably dirty inside and causing your throttle to stick open, or make the engine in a sense gasp for air

Thank you. out of 25 people you replied lol. and i have cleaned it multiple times. tried to clean egr but couldnt get the banjo bolt off cause of the firewall. forgot to add i have a new fuel filter also. and lucas stabalizer in the oil.

I cleaned the distributor cause i pulled the old hard o ring out and put in a fresh one cause i saw some oil in there. and it seems to run idle smooth. ill test it tomrw. it very rarley bogs on acceleration though.
so ill give it a few days. !

have you replaced the distributor ignition coil? thats the only thing you seemed to not have touched on the ignition itself.

Yes i did. i thought i put that on the list. but when i changed the dissy shaft o ring (which was rock hard and cracked in a bunch of pieces)
i didnt have any electrical cleaner to get the small amount of oil out of the dissy. so i cleaned it out heavily. put it all back. and i paid attention to my acceleration today. and no stumble! if it doesnt come back then that was definitly it and i can count my blessings haha

Our '91 base-model and the '88 All-Trac have both had the TPS go out, causing an erratic idle and other bizarre issues. If it comes back, try that. (Try a junkyard piece, first, and if that fixes it, go new)

I was gonna replace the distributor.
after i cleaned it. it seemed to be good. tonight when i drove it. it acted up again.

Very very fed up.
I wouldnt mind spending the money if it was a huge possibility.

Electronic parts may not be returnable. Check the part store's policy before you buy it.

hesitation when accelerating? thats timing. no doubt timing after everything you have replaced.

check that the dizzy is on the correct timing, and your belt could aslo be a problem if it slipped or stretched

dizzy is correct timing to my knowledge. vaccum hoses are worn and slight cracks. could that be it? isnt throwing any codes so i dont think its timing.
