Have a good chuckle on my account

I put on a cold air intake i made from autozone spectre parts (not easy and damaged a spark plug boot in the process)
so im like oh yeah im gonna get a little smoother throttle response and whatever. Im driving with my gf on this street called alpine (very very busy 5 lane road) and my car starts bogging and dies at a red light.
my gf thinks im playing (cause i will stop sometimes and tell her my gas gauge is broke and im were gonna have to push just for shits and giggles).

and im like wtf did that intake do. it blew the camry.

It starts up and bogs out again. i get into the turning lane of alpine street. and it finnally gives shit. in the middle of 4 busy lanes in rush hour.

pop the hood after freaking out. clamp to the throttle body was loose.

I had an intercooler hose pop off on the freeway today in my WRX... I could barely make it to the side of the road to fix it... Lukily, on the WRX you can unplug the MAF and you can run it without an intake, which is what I had to do until I got back to my tools. Without a turbo to feed the engine, its slower than my Alltrac Camry.

I was on the way to a job interview - talk about freaking out. That's something you don't want to miss.

One morning I checked my radiator before leaving for work, & didn't close back the cap properly. Couple miles in, the steering got real stiff, the dash lights came on and the engine died with the grand finale of thick white smoke rising from the front under the hood.

Popped the hood and saw the rad cap just barely perched on the filler neck and could see down into the core. Thank God the overflow reservoir was filled with coolant (don't know where else i'd get water from), and i was able to fill the rad back with coolant from the overflow tank, close the cap, start the engine and still got to work on time.
