driver side: the whole bottom half of the dash comes off....but it's real easy to pull.

2 bolts on top (1 behind the coin tray thingy, 1 behind the far left accessory slot/hole thingy). then 1 bolt behind the speaker cover.

4 bolts on the bottom, 2 on each side. you done!

passenger side: this side sucks, but you'll have to remove the glove box as well as the lower half of the dash.

glove box comes out 1st...just a couple of small bolts on top and bottom on the inside. glove door can stay on.

now i can't remember where all of the bolts are at for the dash, but there's 2 nuts that hold the dash in place once you get the glove box off. then there's bolts on both sides including a bolt behind the speaker cover. 4 on the bottom. that should be it.

just pull carefully and don't over exert on dash and you'll be fine.

this is how i did it. some may say you can remove the speakers without removing the dashes, but this is easier then crawling up behind the dash.

As seng said, you do have to remove the lower dash panel on both sides to get to the speakers. Pry the speaker covers off form the top center of them, pull straight towards you. The coin tray on the drivers side can be removed by pulling on the top of the inside of it (just the coin tray comes out). The panel on the right side of the column pops off complete - pry from the top center again. The black footwell trim on the driver's side has two screws, the passenger side just pops off.

And seng, I wouldn't say the dash panels are easy to take off... my Subaru lower dash is held on with one plastic clip and two screws. The center console comes off with 4 screws total. I can almost have the complete dash apart in the time it takes me to do one lower dash in my Camry. Then again, my Camry is 3x as old with more miles than my WRX (and has stiffer suspension) and has fewer interior rattles...

Charlie, i guess when you've done it so many times, it becomes second nature.

and it's funny that you own a subie, cause i do too! i've got an '02 WRX, it's all stock. it's all stock cause the wifey drives it too from time to time. the subie is our back up car. i've got the camry and she drives a mazda 3. my camry is the most fun to drive but the wife complains its too slow!

oops, forgot to mention, my dd is an '88 camry dlx 5-sp.
