Japan custom cold air intake problem

is it possible that a cold air intake over the stock system can cause a heistation on acceleration? when i first got the car. which was ran on 3 cylinders. i just changed the cap and plugs and it didnt do it.

seems like shortly after the intake and some other things. this started comming about. the whole igntion system is brand new.

should i just let it be? it only does it sometimes. not nessisarly when its cold or hot or anything.

just sick of putting money into it. tons of parts are brand new or cleaned.

i even seafoamed it recently and no smoke really came out.
200psi on each cylinder.

my gf and mom keep telling me that itll never go away and stuff.
should i just keep driving it as is? or continue to try to find the problem? HELP lol.

I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying that the car was running on 3 cyl, then you changed the cap and plugs and all were firing. Now that you've changed to a cold intake, it's firing on only 3 again? I don't see how the cold air intake would do something like that unless you accidentally disconnected one of the wires while installing the new intake.

Why don't you just put the stock intake back on to test?

If there are problems with the CAI, it might very well be causing the symptoms you are describing.

So I take it the dealership replaced the sensor and my toyota is now fine K&N cold air intakes?
Something must have got in there and fouled the MAF. Did you use any kind of lube putting the fittings together?
