2nd Generation Interior Light Troubleshooting

Looking for some advice on troubleshooting the Driver Side Visor Light and the Light near Rear View Mirror on the Driver Side (Not the Dome). It's definitely not the bulbs as I put the known working bulbs in their to test. The contacts for the bulbs were cleaned even though they didn't look like it needed it. Any advice? I thought it a coincidence that they were both on the driver side and maybe the wires are connected together somewhere and that's why they both don't work?

The ones that aren't on are the ones I can't seem to get to work.

The Dome Light - tried to show my LED (they're cool looking) but the flash drowned it out.

The vanity light in the mirror may not work due to the wire breakage (using sunvisor causes that)

Thanks, I got the map light to work by re-soldering a loose wire. Then I got the LED's to work in there by figuring out I needed to switch the wiring around +/- . It's real easy if anyone is interested, just get a screw driver and unclip the wires from the holder and put them back in the opposite way.

The visor/vanity light is something else. The spring in that little switch is broken and doesn't complete the circuit. Don't know where to get another very soft copper spring or new switch. Anyone got any ideas for a new switch like that?

In case anyone ever needs to know where to find that spring, I took the visor to a local mom and pop electronics shop (not Radio Shack). The guys looked it over and first gave me a "plunger type mini momentary switch that is normally closed". It acted just like the switch in the mirror, meaning it was "off" when it was depressed and "on" when the switch was released. It was small enough to fit and said with a little time I could mod it to fit and work right...I could totally see that I could mod it to work and was very happy!

Then another guy came and said you're missing the spring that's why and I proceeded to tell him about the copper spring and how soft it was so I don't think I could ever find something like that....and then he shook his head and basically told me to shut up He walks away and comes back with a tray of copper springs just as soft as the original To cut the story short it works just like before with the spring he gave me! I gave them $5 for the switch and spring despite them not wanting to charge me and not needing the switch either...but wanted to give them a sale.

End of Story - Happy Ending

All LED's Now so much brighter, I really like them.
