Question 95 Camry with a Mystery Starting Problem

Hi there:

My son's '95 Camry has developed a weird, intermittent problem. It'll work fine for a number of days, then it will unexpectedly refuse to start. When it won't start, the engine will turn over and the accessories will work, but the car just won't start. I cleaned the battery terminals and checked the battery fluid levels. We've taken the car to two mechanics, and they couldn't "reproduce the problem," so they did nothing and charged us.

I'm not a mechanic, and after looking around on your site, I don't know where to start the troubleshooting process. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I don't want to sound rude, but you may have better luck on the gen 3-4 forums. As far as your issue... Is it possible to start with gentle fluttering of the gas pedal? Could be your cold start injector is bad or the cold start injector time switch is going out.

My Geo has a similar issue with literally no cause. No trouble codes, no failing parts, sometimes it just refuses to start. Issue went away when I ran a new intake to the other side of the engine bay. Weird.
