89 camry v6 transmission leak

I have a 1989 Toyota Camry LE 2.5l v6 Automatic with 500k Miles on it, and I recently went to drive to the store and it didn't want to move. I figured it was low in transmission fluid and i bought some fluid at the store and put it in. I then noticed as I pulled out of the parking space that there was a puddle of fluid where i was parked. I parked again and noticed the leak was coming from the gear selector module. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this and can tell me if this will be a easy repair or do I need to take the transmission out of the car to fix it. Other then this the car runs great. Not a single problem otherwise except for the usual start and alternator

You have a half a million miles on your car? Take some pics of your odometer! I'm only half way there with my Gen2.

I looked over the service manual quick and did not say anything specific about the seal behind the neutral safety switch, is that the one you are referring to? But I would think that seal should be replaceable from the outside of the tranny. Hopefully you do not have to drop the pan and remove the valve body to get the seal out. Are you sure that is where it's leaking?

its the selector shaft seal a mechanic at the toyota dealership confirmed it. only problem is that most auto parts stores don't carry it. No need to pull the tranny for it tho. and I will post a pic of the odometer once i get the transmission fixed

Rock Auto have the seal? And check Napa if you haven't already, they were the only people who could get me inner tie rod ends.
