Hard Starting
I have an '88 Camry 4-cyl with a 5-speed, recently I have been working on getting it to not run rich. So far I have done plugs, wires, cap, oxygen sensor and air filter. Most recently I adjusted the timing on the car which was off quite a bit (at least 5+ degrees, the markings only go to 15 and i'd ballpark it at 22-25 degrees BTDC) so I adjusted it back to 10 degrees BTDC. However since then, when it has been sitting for a while, it is hard to start the first time, it will turn over for quite a while before it starts up. After that first start however, if I stop the car again it will start again without any trouble at all. Any ideas what could cause this? The car still seems to be running a bit rich, could these two issues be related? Thanks for any help.
