hello i need some help my brother intalled a 2.2 block with a 2.0 head into my 88 camry and the car starts but it wont idle right and it wont stay on and we have tried alot but we r out of ideas if anyone has some will be appreciated thank you

1. how did the problem first show up
2. how long has the problem been there
3. what year is the motor, did the electrics come with the motor
4 what have you tried so far
