2nd Generation 1991 DX Shuts off When Stopped? - electrical issue

Hey guys i have a problem i need some input on...

When i bring the car to a stop at a redlight, ill be sitting there and all of a sudden the car shuts off, i loose my radio stations, and my clock resets.

Its almost as if someone is disconnecting the battery and it only happens when the car is stopped and idling.

The terminals are tight on the post, i check.

Any other suggestions to things i could check that could solve this problem?

Thanks,

Mike

Check all your power and ground connections. Connections can be tight ,but corroded underneath . Start with the battery and remove the positive and negative leads from the posts and then clean .Move your way down the line ( buy a manual so you how many and where the major connections are). Check where the battery cable goes into the main fuse block, fusable links and main fuses for corrosion/ high resistance. Test your alternator and connections also. Do you have a multimeter?
