radio issues

I found a radio at the junk yard today while looking for a few other things. Later while trying to put it in I ran into some issues. I got my stock radio out that was having issues, and started to splice the wires. Now when I normally do radios the red wire is power so I hook up the power ground and remote to see if the radio actually works ans nothing happens. So I tried another radio and the same thing happens, I then test the wires for power and come to find out its a gray wire for power. I then try every thing again and still nothing, so then I try the stock radio again and nothing with that one either. Im completely lost at what to do, any ideas?

FYI grey provides +12 when the key is at ACC or ON. Blue w/ yellow stripe provides constant +12. Brown is ground. Red goes to RRH speaker.

Are you sure you're still getting voltage to both grey and blue-yellow when the key is in, and that your ground is good? Try powering the radios directly from a power source that you know is good. If they don't work that way, then the problem is with the radio. Otherwise, check the fuses as atobe said.
