Any other good tips I should know before I wind up doing this ?

Do I need a magnet to get it out or will I be able to get it out with a small screwdriver after using these tools ? I guess I'll have to get a compass to make some 120 degree angle marks on the crankshaft.

That tool should work fine. I wouldn't use a screw driver to take em out. U can risk scratching the camshaft lobe. I would use a magnet. U can get One at harbor freight pretty cheap

Check the valve clearance before buying any tools... it may not need adjusting.
