USA 88 camry engine swap a few kinks

I swaped a 3sfe dohc for a 91 or 92 celica 5sfe. I changed everything except throtle body and injectors. i used old throtle plate housing as the tps could not be swaped. i have idle isue now. it will not go under 1000rpm not to big of a deal as i have five speed manual trans. do i need to go back and change throtle body and injectors to solve problem? Or is there a bad sensor or adjustment that i have not found.

You know you probably could have swapped the complete 3s-fe intake manifold, right? That would have solved the throttle body/tps issues.

As for the injectors - yes, change them to the 3s-fe ones. Since you are using the 3s-fe ECU, you should use the injectors matched for it.

The motor may never run 100% right since you it has a different displacement and cams... but it should be generally ok.

USA thanks

yes i could have but i was in rush to get it in and running as it is my comuter to work. my f250 is not very fuel efficent. lol it runs good and i will change the injectors. do you think fuel economy will be better with 3s-fe injectors. is the base throtle body and cold start injector the same. just the throtle valve and sensor different.
