I just got back from test driving a 2002 GTI 1.8T. Man that was a blast. Before I even knew it I was up at 60 on a back road carving out the turns. You can really feel that turbo come on. I would describe the engine as weak before around 2700rpm when the turbo started spooling, after that it was all a blur. I had read some reviews and they knocked the handling, I thought it was great though. That is of course coming from someone who has literaly never driven anything but a Toyota Camry and Dodge Caravan. The best part though is that this car really isn't a sports car, I can't believe cars get that much more enjoyable!!!
Hey 88LE, how do you think your 3S-FTE comapares to the 1.8T in the GTI?
