When I pulled my egr valve and cleaned it good by spraying and dumping carb cleaner I went from 20 to 23 or so. I can really tell the difference. It's so much smoother.

You have to be really light on the throttle with these models huh? Shows how much technology has improved. Newer cars with more HP and size are more fuel efficient. I still love the power of this motor though.

I get a pretty consistant 25 mpg on the interstate at 75 mph. I've never calculated city mileage but it drops considerably.

re: fuel economy

Aloha Folks-

I am curious about this as well. I seem to be getting a combined 21 to 23mpg.
Besides the things to do mentioned above like spark plugs, wires, rotor, cap and cleaning the egr valve are there any other improvements for our V6's that help with fuel economy?

Mahalo!
