86 Camry Turn Signal Issue

The left turn signal in my 86 camry wagon only works when I hold the lever half way down. When holding the signal lever all the way down I hear a buzzing sound and the blinker does not work. The right turn signal and flashers work ok. All bulbs also work.

I have the exact same issue on my 91 Camry... the blinker buzz. A replacement of the switch would probably fix the issue but i've just learned to live with it. Same with no dash lights by climate controls and only the two highest fan speeds. It's been an amazingly reliable car (the distributor was the only frustrating issue). Really, the 1st & 2nd gen Camrys are elderly at this point and stuff just wears down. At 210k miles, I'm thankful it still gets me from point A to point B.

the contacts are probbly dirty clean them with some deoxit. or any other electronic contact cleaner. if you want to take the steering cover off. if not then live with it.

as for mas91camry's fan problem it's the resistor pack that went bad you'd have to replace that and also the bulb that lights up the climate control
