91 Bottom Valance - Is This It?

Came back early from out of town to beat traffic, and decided to go to the pick ur part in anaheim, ca since it was 50% off. I was specifically looking for a rear dash panel as mine was tore up and those plastic things were all broken or cracked. Found my twin 90' camry and that panel was in top condition! Score! Came across a lexus 250 and grabbed the wood door trim window/door control plates and the strut bar. The plates took some moding/swapping of pieces to work but I like the look of them.

Anyhow, came across a 91' camry and this (pic below) valance was sitting on the ground below the missing bumper (already un-bolted).

I never seen one before but remember reading that some of you used the 91' valance because it looks better. I tried placing it back where I thought it would be and it looked right, and since it was half off I decided to go ahead and purchase it since it only had some very minor dings. $8....is it it or did I lose some money. I don't have the time today to see if it installs, otherwise I'd check myself, so looking for an easy answer. Thanks.

That is indeed a '91 valence. I wish the one on our '91 was in better shape... I need to find one in the 'yard. We have tons of Gen 2s in there.

Thanks guys! made me happy I picked the right part . I must've got real lucky because I'm not much of a visitor to those places, and I sure had fun looking at the cars. Sad seeing so many Gen2's in such bad shape though,

It will bolt right up. The pre-'91 cars are missing a few weld-nuts in the frame, but the holes are there for them... You may have to fiddle a bit to get it all lined up (crack loose the side bolt brackets and adjust).

I bought a new one off a local guy on craigslist a while back. It is still in black primer - I'll paint it at the same time as my JDM front bumper and probably my carbon fiber hood.

I found out what you meant by missing some weld nuts. I found some screws to make it work though and that middle top one was a biotch! I gave up and zip tied it.

I used some bondo to fill up the dents and used 3 coats of auto primer to hold until I get the car painted, it came out real nice, very happy!

It certainly looks a lot better than that trashy looking plastic thing (what was toyota thinking?).

Fun stuff is done....now back to that 22RE motor and timing chain change and other things project , arrrrgggghhhhhh.

I think the early valance looks good with the v6 lip. I defiantly like the later one allot but without the lip I just cant do it. I think ill go find one and fiddle around with it and see what I can do.
