2nd gen Camry stance possibilities

I was wondering how widely available gen 2 camrys are, especially in 5 speed and if it'd be possible to make stance thats somewhat similar to these cars... leaning more towards the honda in the second video.

I can't find any coilovers for this model even though so far I've only searched one site.

Trying to see if this is even worth attempting in one shot.

ok well first off, your gonna need to mod your stuff to make your car stanced haha
the 90-93 celica coilovers can be retrofitted into the Gen2 camry fairly easy.
then its up to size and offset and tire size to get your stance.

with me i used lowering springs. if you want crazy stance stay away cuz these wont lower you enough.

here is a pic of my Gen2 lowered 1.5" on Intrax springs and KYB Struts all around.
16x7 +35 Enkei RPF1's
205/55/R16 Bridgestone Serenity Tires
I have a 1 finger wheel gap in the front and 1.5 in the back

Now my "stanced" car is my 3000GT. haha
i have Megan Racing Coilovers
17x9 Front and 17x10.5 1995 Cobra R Rims
and i forget the tire size off the top of my head.

okay sorry for whoring out my 3K, but yeahh i say go for the camry stance!!! haha

Mike

I was really sleeping on this corolla hahaha... I will actually be going for the stanced look on most likely a corolla now but it'll be interesting to see where i am when my girlfriend decides to let me buy a car ha.

Very nice cars though... both. Why RPF1s on a camry though?

Nobody that I have seen has really worked offsets hard on gen2 Camry... Normal fitment can get you up to around 225 tires in the wheel wells without much work. Stretched tires and some chamber could get you some decent offsets/lip. Coilovers will definitely be necessary.

As for RPF1's - in my case, it was to fit the Brembos...

Jesus! ha how much were those brakes?

It looks nice though... But I'm trying to get ahold of this Adhi guy and talk to him first hand.
I've found some of his posts on stancenation and I just sent him a message.

I did however find a corolla for $400 (asking price). It needs a headlight, bumper, hood, radiator and fender (they hit a deer) but I'm a little afraid of frame damage and any possible further problems. And its automatic...

However I found the dream car for myself and the person selling it on craigslist WON'T REPLY!!

Its killing me

Those are on the Alltrac Camry. They are Porsche Brembo calipers from a 996 911 (base model), which are also the same as Caymen S front calipers. The disks are currently ST205 disks, but I will be getting E46 M3 disks, probably. The calipers are held on with a custom bracket (there is a guy on Alltrac.net selling them). I have ST205 rear 2-pot calipers to go with the fronts - sorry, no pictures online of that yet.

Some rally wheels with big brake clearance might work, but I was sure that the 17's would work. And besides, they look good.

It's possiable just have to do alot of research like i did

I have an 89 camry swapped to a 5speed and i have it lowered on kyb struts and 2inch drop matrix tien springs.I have 16x8 0 offset xxrs and i have the camber kit.ALl it is is one bolt for each strut to hub.I grinded the strut holes out and shaved some of the hubs thick back knuckle and pushed them back and it cambered i flexed my fenders out also gonna repaint them soon.If you want a 5 speed swap get a celica transmission that either has the 3sfe or u can get a 3sgte motor and swap it for power they both bolt up.You have to cut your own holes for the linkage to the tranny and clutch pedal.Check it out I'm saving right now to do a turbo 3sgte build with 400hp at least.
