Motor mounts

Should i go with OEM for the front, rear, and center mounts for the V6 engine?

Rock auto and napa both have the mounts, napa has the center one while rock auto doesnt.
However, i dont know anything about the aftermarket quality of anchor, or balklamp mounts.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as it will either lose or save me money haha

I bought anchor mounts for my V6 and though I haven't run into any problems with them they do appear to be wearing out a little prematurely. If you plan to keep the car for a while I would go with OEM but if your just going for a temporary thing than any aftermarket will do. I remember reading on the mustang forums and some seem to have had a problem with the anchor mounts not dampening enough, causing the car to be a little rough.

well the two lower torque mounts are definitely gone. the whole engine moves when put into reverse or drive....way to much. im sure oem would be the best by far. Ill compare to the 140 for napa parts versus the dealer prices. i dont want the mounts to be spongey or wear out early, i want to keep these in the car for at least 4 years solid.

If it's not a HP engine, most after market mounts will hold up to the basic torque load. I just replaced all three of my under mounts purchased at the local AP store

I put some Anchor mounts in our 2wd, they work great. They're definitely firmer than OEM mounts but to me, that's a good thing. They've got some 15k miles on them and look fine.

If your serious about dealer parts I would look online or see if your dealer will match the online price of other dealers. This is where I order my parts from.

There are defiantly some parts for that car that I would get from the dealer, motor mounts are not one of them.

I replaced all 4 of my motor mounts using Rockauto. All the mounts was pretty much dead. The side mounts (transmission and timing belt side) looks 'OK' as the front and rear was pretty much gone, but the sides made the biggest difference in terms of the idle. All in all though, the motor mount made everything so much more tight and cut down on the noise.

Only thing is since I replaced the motor mounts, the engine isn't resting on the cross member that runs under the engine (the one that the front and rear mount attaches to) and now THAT thing is rattling because the rear cross member rubber bushing/gasket that attaches to the frame is shot.
