1991 Toyota Camry Transmission Removal

I am trying to replace the transmission in a 1991 Camry V-6, automatic. I have everything finally disconnected and am taking the motor and trans out of the top. I can not figure out how to get the wiring harness disconnected so that I can remove the motor and trans. It is taped up and runs through the top of the motor. Do I have to physically pull it through the motor to remove or is there an easier way. Please help. Need to get this done quickly so I can return engine hoist. Thanks!

I think you're referring to step 25? I've never pulled the engine out so never had to follow those steps. Hope it helps.

Bingo. You are supposed to remove the wiring harness by pulling it into the engine bay through the firewall. You have to remove the glove compartment and unplug everything to carefully thread it through.

Thanks so much White90dx and Grego 92. Went home last night and got the motor out after unplugging the wiring harness and pulling it through the firewall. Greatly Appreciated. Guys like you make these Forums great.
