88 Camry thanks Charlie and DoctorJ etc

88 Camry Wagon taken in trade.
Numerous problems (like carrier bearing on pass side coming loose at 55mph), had to rock to start (grinding no turn over). Two po's were told by their mechanics "new ring gear" so they were rocking it for the last 12 years
I've posted here several times, great response.
Took the advice and bought a Denso rebuilt from Hatch Auto Electric in Hatch NM for $152 that had numbers matching Toyota for this vin.
Different gear than the no name in there.
Guess what- has started 20 times no problem!
Get the right parts was the advice here, and it worked!
Thanks to all until next time!
Tom

Which part of the state are ya in? I'm going to be heading up to Abq on Sunday, though I won't be in either of my babies. Maybe catch ya sometime.

Glad to hear you got it sorted out! I've got a Denso unit in the All-Trac still, I'm going to need to rebuild it soon...
