'91 Camry - Are base(ish) models wired for power windows?

Im considering picking up a parts car locally so I can get some rust free fenders in the same color as my car is already.. and the donor is also setup with power windows.. where my 91 alltrac has manual..

Does anyone know if the non-LE models are wired for windows already?

thanks,

Brett

I'll let more experienced owners verify this, but I'm pretty sure they are not prewired since there are relays and lots of wiring associated with the P/W system. At the very least you would need the doors, and you'd need to trace the donor wiring to see where it connects and extends to.

I'm sure many have s=done the conversion though, and I'll let them chime in.

Basically just pull out everything associated with the power options in the donor car. Your base model should come "ready for assembly" might even be able to just swap doors and transfer the whole thing if possible. Or else youll have to get the door lock solenoid, key cylinder and wires, power window motor etc and put that in your current door.

It shouldnt be hard, just tedious. The relays are all in one computer in the dash. I think they might wire in with another computer though like the power seat belts and the ignition cylinder. i cant say for sure. i know my LE unlocks all the doors if i try to lock the front two doors with the key in the cylinder and the door open.
