2nd Generation the black halogen bulb retaining ring fell apart
all the tabs fell apart as i was changing the halogen bulb... anyone know where i can get a set? one for each side

Dealer part, or a salvage yard. These rings break very easily, not the best design.

Just an FYI. I used to have a generation 1 and both my nieces had generation 2's. These things broke every time I had to change out one of the headlight bulbs. They just get brittle with age. The Toyota part number for the replacement part (assuming they are still available) is 81104-22520. A company called Perfect Parts (like the HELP Line of products) out of fair Lawn, NJ, also made an aftermarket replacement. If they are still around their part number is HBR-4B.
