Question mike40

Hello, new to forum, my 1991 Camry 4cyl radiator fan not coming on, fan works when i ran it direct to battery, got power to cooling fan switch that connects at thermostat housing, I grounded this wire but radiator fan still didn't come on and the relay continues clicking while the switch wire is grounded?????

Sounds like a wiring issue or a bad relay to me.

Grounding the fan switch wire should turn the fans *off* not on. Unplugging the wire should have the fans run at all times (while the key is on).

I would guess a bad/sticky relay is your problem at this point.

Thanks guys, one more question, do the A/C relays have to be working also for radiator fan to work, I read on an old thread that if I pulled the radiator relay and tested the terminals that their should be power to terminal 1 and 4, I tested this with key on and only had power to terminal 1. Can I test relay before I buy new one???

See if you have an identical relay in the car to some non-critical part and switch it temporarily for a test.
