So this is my unfinished attempt at following the instructions from this thread:
Link . The lenses were not very hard to make actually, but after the first "pull" and testing them out on the car, I basically decided that the car is too much of a beater (these lenses are functional but there are a bunch of imperfections, a few more attempts and they probably would have been "perfect"), and most importantly the cheapo projectors have a lame cutoff. Also it's doubtfull that she (I made these for my mom lol) will still have this car by next summer, it's been in a few accidents and hasn't been fixed professionally, that's the main reason the lens don't fit properly in the pictures.
So hopefully this thread will inspire people to try to make their own lenses (for fun or profit). Crisco as a release agent works really well (really smeared it in there to fill the flutes) and would recommend doing what that guy in the thread did and not use a vacuum forming table. All the tools/materials needed (that I can think of right now, it's been a few months) are cement (for the mold), crisco, sand paper, bondo, jigsaw, mdf or plywood, a dremel 543 attachement and drill to cut the plastic worked well. One thing about the molds, don't bother sanding them smooth just use bondo to fill the flutes and sides and then sand the bondo smooth, notice the gap around the lenses because the sides of the mold where sanded too much. These are basically the projectors but G1 not G3, the cutoff is very similar thou

Unless there has been some new development in the world of early camry headlight design, this is the only way of properly retrofitting HID's, so far (just the lenses) it's cost less than $50.
Sorry about the cheapo camera and color corrections lol.
