can a bad speed sensor (tranny reed type) affect my tranny?
It seems to hunt between 1st and 2nd when i am coasting or low throttling around 5-20 mph. I get the jerk and feel the thud as it slams in gears quick.
Im getting the OD code for the bad tranny speed sensor.
Also, at 296K, the car sounds, and i stress sounds, like it is powering on 5 cylinders. not running on 5, but just 5 are running perfect. its getting good spark, the engine has no shaking showing lost compression, and im getting decent gas mileage. when i drive the car for 40 minutes or more of highway, the car sounds like a purring v6
However, when it is cold, and only driven locally and not heating for a long time, the car sounds like a struggling 6. not a smooth vpurr more like a choppy v
