Are you sure you aren't hitting the bend? Mine always go about halfway in and sort of stick. Does it go in if you sort of jiggle the stick up and down and turn it at the same time?

Okay... I don't know about all Camry 3SFEs, but with mine it has a little bracket secured to the block with a bolt and it then twists out of the mounting point.

Good luck! Let us know how it goes.

There is a small plastic part on the top of the dip stick that "seals" the opening. My plastic piece cracked off and this part may be what is lodged in your tube.

When I rebuilt my 3sfe I stripped the block of everything but couldn't budge the dipstick tube, so left it rather than risk breaking.

If the blockage is plastic try a flexible wire with a drill type end to grab it.
Bend the end into a short spiral and sharpen it.

Has the bottom of the dip stick handle broken off and became lodged in the tube ?

I had this happen once on a Dodge... Was able to fish it back out... was a bitch.

good luck
