help with power windows wiring

my power windows started acting up a few months back...it would work when the door was open, it wouldnt when the door was closed..until it stopped working completely..

apparently, this is the culprit



all window switches on the master switch don't work, but the power locks button work, as well as the window lock button..

any ideas on how i can fix this?

Solder and some heat shrink tube?

You can also run a length of new wire through the door for those particular broken wires (so the hard solder joint isn't in the bending part of the wiring).

I didn't pull the harness all the way out of the door. I just snaked what I could out in to the door body and worked on in just hanging out of the door.

And yes, that sheet metal is SHARP! I probably had at least 10 small cuts on my hands before I was done.

I would see if I could find silicone-insulated wires in the proper colors- I only use silicone wire for my r/c applications as it is not so detrimentally affected by vibration and flexing... Should last you a good, long time.
