2nd Generation 89 2vzfe v6 sluggish and dies

My 89 2vzfe. Is extremely sluggish outta the hole.. won't hardly do 45 mph, and dies when I come to a complete stop. I've previously replaced the o2 sensor, ect, and the afm. I have no cel and no codes presently. I'm thinking the iac is crapped out. Any ideas

A problem with the IAC won't cause problems at higher engine speeds.

I would guess that your timing belt has slipped a couple teeth or your ignition system has a major problem (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, possibly coil).

First check the mechanical timing and then go from there (pull off the upper timing cover(s) and make sure all the timing marks are aligned at TDC).

Well timing aok, iac works, tps chks out. Coil chks out, cap and rotor in great shape, pick up looks great, spark is good, just doesn't idle smooth, and not at all in gear, and accelerates extremely slow and tops out about 45. Any more ideas. I've about had it........

auto trans probably is to blame. a faulty torque converter can cause sluggish acceleration. not sure about the dieing at idle though

What's the compression on those cylinders? You could have a leaky head gasket between those cylinders or bad rings, etc.
