'89 4 cyl camry.. O/D lights blink off and on as well as A/C
my gf got a '89 3sfe automatic camry 3 weeks back from a friend and she noticed a couple things "out of the ordinary"
1- the O/D light blinks off and on at times.. sometimes it'll blink till u turn the OD off and then when u turn it back on, it shuts off.. sometimes the OD light wont blink at all for a few days..then it'll come back on and blink and go away. I drove the car around when the light blinks and there is no problem at all with the transmission shifting.. however I have caught the car shifting from 2nd gear a couple times on D mode..but if u kick it in Low gear, it shifts fine in first. The problem with the car starting in 2nd has only happend twice
2- The A/C light has started blinking for the past couple days.. The A/C works fine though.. Although a couple times I have found the A/C to blow air that should be much colder.. All i do when the A/C stops blowing cold is push the AC button off and then back on and then the AC blows nice and cold again. This happens rarely. Usually the A/C works great!
So any advice or suggestions would be great to one or both of these problems.. thanks!!
