89 camry constant power fuse for deck and clock

Hey,

got an 89 camry which developed what could have been a major incident yesterday, under the dash caught fire. Managed to quickly put it out and repaired almost all the damage today but... the clock and stereo have no always on power..ie the battery line? My electrical diagram says theres a fuse but i cant find it anywhere. I checked all under the drivers kickpanel and the passengers and under the hood. Anyone got a clue where this fuse is? It's the line that gives them the aux power to keep the memory settings.

Cheers for any advice.

Darby

Check under the hood again.

The fuse (radio no. 1) for the radio is in a fuse box under the hood. Fuse box is near the battery. Its a 15A fuse.

Clock is tied in with the cigarette lighter circuit. Theres 3 fuses for the circuit. 15A cig, 15A radio no. 1, and 15A tail.

15A cig and 15A tail fuse are in the left side kick panel.

I have a similar problem in my 1996 camry le. I am trying to install an aftermarket radio which i got on eBay. I got all the diagrams amd connected everything with butt-splice crimps instead of a wire harness. I tried to turn on the radio but had no power. I also noticed the clock and the dome light power were out. However, the cigarette lighter is still working fine. I even undid the wires and wired it again and the same problem occurred. Any suggestions? I thought it might be the fuse, but the cigarette lighter is on the same fuse? Please help if you know anything on the subject.
