well.... if you really want fast speed.... defenitly a 3s-GTE swap... (MR2 Turbo Engine)... or... a 3s-GE swap.... (Celica Engine w/ 160hp)....

....i think there's nothing much out there you could buy for a Gen2 Camry.... only some body kits.... Struts and Springs...

hope that helps...

Sorry but there's barely any thing made for the gen 2 camry, which was made from 1987-1991. I have a 91 and I am getting ready to make my CAI. Other than body kit, struts, springs, rims, and other universal stuff you will have to either retrofit stuff or DIY.

I asked for an estimate from jemco.com because I came in to some money and they told me $1450 for a japan spec engine with 50,000 miles. Not bad for an engine so popular. The only thing is some have said the chassis can't take the excess horsepower, is this true? If it is true wouldn't having, say a custom toysport chassis brace get rid of this problem?

Gen 2 Camrys do rock, but the parts supply is kinda slim. Of couse this only makes finding parts more fun and rewarding.

Of course, having our own forum (only gen 2) might be a little more helpful, so we would know where the poster was comming from, in terms of experience with our own chassis/engine/whatever.

Or at least if more people would post in their signature, or just profile, what year/engine/mods they have, that might help.

Intake: You need a AFM adapter and cone style filter.

Exhaust: Find a muffler you like and have it welded on. Slightly larger piping.

Header: Pacesetter or Japspeed. Their made for a Celica, but they'll work on a Camry.

Struts: Tokico (cartridges for serviceable struts). Otherwise KYB GR2.

Lowering springs: Intrax (1.5" drop)

Strut tower brace: You can use the stock one from a Lexus ES250. It bolts right on.

Brakes: If you have drums in the rear you can swap them out to disc brakes by using the parts off a gen 2 V6.
