1990-thumping and pulling to the left

1990 camry.

suddenly starting pulling to the left. gradually got worse.

I notice now is that there is a thumping noise as well as the shaking of the
steering wheel at slow speed, but both go away at about 15 ph or so.
at normal speed and faster no thumping no shaking but still pulling to left.

car had been in accident in which someone turned left into me at a light as we were
moving across intersection.

entire left side was damaged, including the impact to the front left wheel area.
was repaied by toyota dealer, but I have noticed that the driver side front wheel area
seems to have problems.

I can only use the same rim on that front left wheel, or else it pulls to the left.
I already had to replace that wheel bearing about 5 years ago. accident was about 8 years
ago.

It could also be the tire on that left side. A simple test is to switch the 2 front tires with each other temporarily. If the thumping noise and the pulling has now moved to the right side you have found the problem.
