I don't know about borla'a and from what i hear, flowmasters are subpar. Magnaflow is definitely the way to go(from what other users on the forums recommend), and once i get a job, i'm gonna redo the whole exhaust system in my gen 2 camry

how's it goin bro, i've got an 89 camry as well with the 3sfe motor and auto trans. I have a magnaflow muffler and full cat-back 2.5 in piping. The sound is quite nice and mellow with a good gain throughout the powerband. i have quite a few other mods too including an EL Prototypes cold air intake, ES250 front strut bar, intrax springs, KYB GR-2 struts, NGK wires, Iridium plugs, Sun Auto grounding kit, and various other interior and trim upgrades since my car is a base.

Had a MagnaFlow on my '89 V6... car performed great with it. Was a little too loud in-car for me for prolonged city driving, every time you accelerated that thing wailed. It sounded good, but resonated like crazy in the cabin enough to give you a headache. On the highway though or just cruising, it was really silent. Overall a if you can handle the resonating tone... or just drive with all the windows down.

2nd Generation whats up 89 owners!!!!

THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOU REPLIES. i'm still having a hard time trying to reply on this so bear with me. i appreciate the feed back. i will let you know what i decide to buy. one of you guys showed me a pic of your camry and thats how mine is looking right now. i purchased a wing for my though and i wish i never did. dont get me wrong the wing looks nice but it always bangs off the sides of the car causing paint to come off. i've always believed it was the trunk i bought after my accident. the new trunk came off of a v6 le but maybe you guys might know better than i do about getting parts off of other camrys. anyways i bought the camry for $1,000 off a girl i knew after my 88 honda accord burned to the ground after the engine blew. (that was a sight ). the camry was in crapy condition but desperate times call for desperate measures. 3 years later i couldnt be happier with my baby. she had no exhaust on her. a broken drive axle, and 4 wheel bearings were shot but that engine was in great condition. i bought it with 134,000k and after fixing all it up it runs great. anyways i could go on forever but to much to share at once thanks again peace!!!! ps. what do you guys think of the monroe sensatrac struts with intrax springs? too risky? later.

Use the "post reply" button instead of the "new thread" button.

No biggy though, I merged your post with the previous thread (this thread).

Can't comment on the monroe sensatracs.

Most gen 2 Camry owners use KYB GR-2 or Tokico HPs. The Tokicos only work if you have non-sealed (serviceable) struts, so you need to find out what type of struts you have.
